To ensure that all walkers and bathers – whether two-legged or four-legged – can relax and enjoy their holidays, certain rules must be observed:
- Your dog must stay under your supervision at all times.
- Keep your dog on a lead.
- You must ensure that your dog does not cause a nuisance to other people on the beach.
- Pets are not allowed on the 6 lifeguarded beaches from 15th June to 15th September. On Saint-Nazaire’s Grande Plage, pets are only allowed between the Sammy statue and the Cale de Port Désiré.
- Guide dogs are permitted on all Saint-Nazaire beaches.
- You must clean up after your pet. Dog mess bags are provided throughout Saint-Nazaire.
Reminder to owners
Dogs are not allowed in our museums, industry tours or discovery cruises. That said, if they’re keen to join in, they can still take part in our guided tours of the city on public land, you just need to tell us when booking that you’ll be bringing your four-legged friend.
